About   the   picture

This photo is a case of being in the right place at the right time and adding a little magic. It was one of my many drives around the Dandenong Ranges at that perfect moment in autumn when all the leaves are every colour. It was so beautiful I couldn't resist taking a few photos.

As with most photos when shot in a RAW format, the image looked flat and lifeless when I first viewed it. Even the sun was overexposed and not really visible. So a bit of Photoshop processing brought out all the colours and gave it a soft, magical look. I added the Sun back in to create this beautiful scene.

I've been back to this spot many times since, always hoping to re-capture this image with a better camera at higher quality. It has never looked this majestic since.
